“I just couldn’t believe I was possibly the winner of the 50/50 Lottery” are the words of Patricia Jeremy describing her initial response to winning the WLMH Foundation Investing in Life 50/50 Lottery grand prize. She continued to add “My friend called to ask ‘do you have something to tell me…could you be the Patricia J. I saw on the internet?’ I took this call from my friend while I was out and so I wrote down the ticket number she mentioned to check once I returned home. When I returned home there was an email from the Foundation office congratulating me as the lucky winner. I was so happy and surprised,” shared Patricia.
The Foundation is very pleased to present our winner, Patricia Jeremy, the $15,965 Take Home Prize from the lottery Grand Prize draw which was held on February 18th, 2022. A jackpot total of $31,930 was raised towards the 50/50 draw. “Thank you to everyone who made this possible for our winner and for supporting the healthcare needs of the West Niagara community,” said Kevin Antonides, Chair of the WLMH Foundation Governing Board.
Over the years, Patricia has been a volunteer with the Foundation, assisting with direct mail preparations for the various campaigns. She indicated that buying her tickets meant supporting the hospital which has been a very important part of taking care of her when she had heart difficulties, as well as when, all three of her children were born at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital.
