The community was invited to sign their name on the one of the final beams being hoisted into the new WLMH.
The project for the new hospital broke ground in April 2022, with support from generous donors and surrounding municipalities that raised $50-million to meet provincial funding requirements. The WLMH Foundation was grateful to welcome back those who supported to the celebration.
“It has been an honour working with a most generous and dedicated community and friends of the WLMH Foundation over the past 24 years, to now see the construction of the new hospital. This goal could not have been achieved without the individuals and organizations working together to share their time, treasure and talent to support the vitality of healthcare in West Niagara. The patients served at WLMHH will be forever grateful,” states Pamela Ellens, Executive Director, WLMH Foundation.
