A Star is Born was created for family and friends to communicate their joy with others by sharing a beautiful image of their new baby. In celebration of the birth of your child, a gift of $250 to the West Lincoln Memorial Hospital Foundation Inc. will preserve the happiness of this special day.
Your new baby’s image will appear in our annual newborn calendar and on the new hospital’s A Star is Born Hall of Fame recognition wall. If family or friends honour your child, a congratulatory letter will be sent to the parents of the newborn.
Your child will begin making a healthy difference in the lives of others from birth. Your investment in life will ensure that the consistently high standards of medical care at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital are able to continue for many years.

A Star is Born Hall of Fame - Have a lasting legacy
Your child’s name, image, birth date, and weight will also be prominently displayed on the new hospital’s A Star is Born Hall of Fame recognition wall located in the new Maternal Child/Women’s Health unit. Mark the beginning of a new life and leave a legacy for your child at the new West Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

Newborn Calendar
Your child’s name, image, birth date, and weight will be displayed in our annual A Star is Born newborn calendar. Newborn calendars will be produced and sold for $15 throughout the Niagara Region, with 100 percent of the calendar’s proceeds donatedto the hospital’s foundation.

Karen Byker is an award winning photographer, specializing in newborn portraiture for Reflections of Life Photography in Beamsville, Ontario. After a number of years of freelance photography, Karen decided, with her husband Phil, that it was time to officially open their own studio in 2005. Reflections of Life Photography is a boutique studio, meaning they take on a limited amount of new clients per week. Each portrait session is custom to you and your family, and sessions are never rushed. Because of this, the portraiture they create is always unique, beautiful, and of the very best quality. Karen is known for her patience during your portraiture experience, and her style is classic, contemporary and timeless. She works both in colour and in black and white, and has a wonderful website which includes a gorgeous portfolio of her newborn photography that clients adore. She is a respected photographer in the Niagara Region, with her work displayed on the walls of many of its residents.
West Lincoln Memorial Hospital Facts
WLMH currently has eleven beds on the Maternal Child / Women’s Health unit. Obstetrical and Gynecological patients are cared for in a family centered setting.
788 babies were born within the 2008/2009 fiscal year. On average, there are between 600 and 800 deliveries per year.
WLMH has two full time Obstetrician/ Gynecologists on staff providing 24/7 coverage. Seventeen family physicians and eight midwives are also credentialed to deliver babies.
