Elementary & Secondary Schools Get fit, have fun, and raise funds for new equipment for West Lincoln Memorial Hospital!

What is the Tim Hortons Peachbud 10K School Challenge?

The Tim Hortons Peachbud 10K School Challenge is a new initiative to encourage all elementary and secondary schools in West Niagara to host their own race in support of our local hospital. Each race would be held on school property during Field Day (or another date of choice) and the length of the race would be selected by the school (100m, 800m, etc).

Elementary and Secondary students have the opportunity to raise pledges for the West Lincoln Memorial Hospital Foundation’s Project X-ray campaign prior to the signature race. This campaign is raising the funds necessary to purchase the state of the art equipment needed for our new hospital. All equipment purchased will be used immediately and transferred to the new facility once it is built. Help us build the new hospital from the inside out with this state of the art equipment!

Participating secondary schools will also be selling tickets for the Peachbud Raffle during the week of their race, for many exciting prizes, which will be drawn on June 30th.

Our local schools are stepping up to the challenge. To date the following Secondary schools will be hosting a Tim Hortons Peachbud 10k School Challenge Day:

• Grimsby Secondary School – April 30
• South Lincoln High School – May 1
• Beamsville Secondary School – Date to be confirmed

Elementary Schools

Elementary Schools have been approached to participate in the School Challenge whereby they would collect pledges for their run. All students who run in the race will receive an official certificate of participation.
