As a valued friend of the West Lincoln Memorial Hospital Foundation we know that you are as disappointed, as are we, with the recent news that our Hospital's redevelopment project has been cancelled.

Our journey has been a long one, and challenging one. There are many unanswered questions that need to be addressed. Both the Hospital and Foundation Boards are actively working for an action plan that will advocate for and promote the merits of our project. We are not giving up our vision of a new and much needed hospital for our community.

We want to highlight that the decision to cancel our new Hospital project does not mean that our Hospital is closing. There has recently been a statement from the Minister of Health and Long Term Care that they are not considering the closure of WLMH. We are here to stay and the health care needs of our community have not changed. Now, more than ever, we need the generous support of our donors in order to continue to provide quality care for our community.

The dream of a new hospital for our community was validated through the generosity of many donors. We assure you that all contributions to the ‘Investing in Life’ campaign are secure and will remain in a restricted trust fund for the purpose that it was intended.

We will continue to share information with our community as we learn more in the days ahead. Thank you for your continued support of your hospital.
