We’ve completed a successful fundraising initiative for the bricks and mortar of a new Hospital for the residents of West Niagara.

There is, perhaps, no greater priority today than knowing quality health care will be available for our families where and when we need it. While our hospital's existing home has served West Niagara well for almost 60 years, the now-disjointed complex of aging buildings will soon outlive its usefulness. The hospital's Board of Directors carefully weighed all the alternatives and agreed that a new hospital is the most efficient way to ensure quality care for our community now, and well into the future. To meet this need the Foundation successfully embarked on an ambitious fundraising campaign to raise the necessary funds.

We’re proud to report that the West Lincoln Memorial Hospital Foundation raised enough funds to cover the community’s local share for the bricks and mortar of our new hospital through the Investing in Life campaign – the largest fundraising effort in our community's history.

Thanks to the generous contributions of municipal councils, the boards, staff, physicians, dentists, auxilians, volunteers and many other friends we’re on track with raising the necessary funds for the new building and the capital equipment. With this building campaign complete, the Foundation is now focusing its efforts on fundraising for the hospital’s capital equipment (100% of the costs of equipment must be raised locally and will not be paid for by Ministry of Health and Long Term Care). The current initiative is the $3.6 M Project X-ray and we already have over $1.7 million pledged.
