Campaigns are the mystical mingling of a joyful giver, an artful asker and a grateful recipient.

The WLMH Foundation thanks the west Niagara community for their willingness to give so generously of their time, abilities and financial support. It is because of your support that the hospital‘s foundation has been able to complete a very successful $13.5 million fundraising initiative to build a new Hospital for the residents of West Niagara. The WLMH Foundation is now focusing its efforts on fundraising for the hospital’s capital equipment (100% of the costs of equipment must be raised locally and will not be paid for by Ministry of Health and Long Term Care). The fact is that we need to keep investing in medical equipment each and every year as part of our commitment to providing quality, cost-effective health care to the residents of West Niagara.

Many people don’t realize that the Provincial Government does not give us (or any other hospital) any money towards the cost of purchasing capital equipment. This means that the Foundation has the responsibility of raising all the necessary money locally within our community to pay for this needed equipment.

Project X-ray – Building our new hospital from the inside out …

The current initiative is the $3.6 M Project X-ray and we already have over $1.5 million pledged. All new equipment purchased will be used immediately for the residents of West Niagara and moved to the new facility once it is built.
